About
For more information about photographer, Gaynor Wilson, please see News Link on Links page.
Gaynor thoroughly enjoys the Violet Boudoir sessions with her customers, and always ensures that there is an element of fun as well as glamour and sensuality.
"Most of my customers always say to me that they are both nervous and excited prior to a session, and I can fully understand this. However I do think that 'glamming up' and having your hair and make-up done is a huge confidence boost."
Having worked with people from all walks of life in many different fields (not just photography), Gaynor has the experience and capability to put you at your ease. All her customers have commented on this at some point during a session.
Gaynor will then go through the sequence of shots with you, discussing what you have brought with you, props she intends to use and general ideas. Gaynor loves new ideas from customers and welcomes thoughts and comments.
"The odd 'fun' shot is always good to throw in there and I've had customers come with skis, golf clubs, guitars, footballs ... which I am happy to work into images."
Unlike alot of photographic studios out there, Gaynor works with you and can promise that you are as much part of the process as she is to achieve the exact results you require.
Sessions usually start at 10.00am - with make-up and hair usually taking about an hour and a half.
The photography starts at around mid-day and usuallly finishes at around 4.00pm. Lunch can be arranged and is something that is discussed in the consultation prior to the shoot. Drinks (mostly non-alcoholic!) are served throughout the day as and when required.
Other than the make-up and hair, Gaynor provides all other services.
Once all images are captured on camera, then Gaynor really comes into her own; as a very experienced and proficient digital artist, editing and retouching is a must. "No matter how beautiful you are, we can all do with a bit of re-touching in places."
The majority of images seen in magazines today will have received a certain amount of digital manipulation / enhancement. Gaynor is very competent in the most advanced Image Editing & Effects software, ensuring that airbrushing and other retouching is completed to maximise customer's potential.
"I never like to over-do the retouching, as I still want the customer to look natural and like themselves ... but none of us want photographs proudly displaying our celulite or lumps and bumps ... well I've yet to find someone who does."
Please feel free to discuss any particular editing requirements you feel you would like prior to a booking / session.
Images are therefore edited during the week or so following the shoot. Customers are then invited back to choose from many images created by Gaynor - offering colour and black & white.
Images can be uploaded as a Temporary Gallery on the website, so that choices can be made from here, if the distance is too far to keep travelling back and forth.
All images are finished with a border surrounding the photograph, centred on a black background (see sample album photo for an idea). Anything different must be specified to Gaynor prior to the photograph session. Gaynor does like customers to collect their finished prints / albums rather than trust the post.
Once chosen, prints can take approximately 7 to 10 days to come back.
Gaynor suggests that from booking to finished album is approximately 4-6 weeks and asks customers to bear this in mind when making their booking.
For any other information, please feel free to call Gaynor on 07810 533533.
Please Note: No images will be used on the website for commercial/ promotional purpose, unless agreed with the customer, be this verbal or written.
Signature on confirmation of booking is deemed as acceptance of the full Terms and Conditions; these are available on request.
